Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of accounting functions, from general ledger management to financial reporting, supporting both corporate and governmental accounting standards. Duties

  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct detailed data entry and maintain meticulous records using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex, and others.
  • Support payroll management activities by processing payroll data accurately through systems like ADP or UltiPro and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and credit analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards.
  • Perform tax-related tasks including preparation of tax filings and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Participate in internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Support non-profit accounting functions if applicable, including grant tracking and fund management.
  • Utilize technical accounting skills for complex transactions involving multiple systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, governmental accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with a variety of accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex or similar platforms.
  • Experience with payroll management systems such as ADP or UltiPro.
  • Expertise in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation (including bank reconciliations), and journal entries.
  • Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, budgeting and credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with public accounting practices and experience supporting audit processes.
  • Excellent math skills combined with strong attention to detail for account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation tasks.
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices if applicable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining compliance standards.
