Branch Operations Manager - Coral Gables

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the effective performance of full-service branches, including operations, production, customer service, training, security, and safety following the bank’s objectives. Promotes our sales and service culture through coaching and staff motivation. Provides leadership, accountability, encouragement, and training to branch managers and teams in the pursuit of our bank’s core purpose and ensures regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads in achieving individual, branch, regional, and bank-wide goals through new business development, referrals, and retention of account relationships.
  • Serves as an Ambassador for our bank’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Mentor, coach, and support Branch Managers, helping them to be successful and fulfilled producers and leaders
  • Collaborate with other Market Managers to establish and achieve meaningful production goals, complete retail initiatives, maintain uniformity of bank-wide best practices, and contribute to retail division long-term growth and efficiency
  • Maintain effective, positive relationships with Market Managers and other staff through consistent in-branch visits, phone calls, and email correspondence
  • Recognize and reward behaviors, attitudes, and results that contribute to our company’s success
  • Maintain ongoing recruiting relationships resulting in the hire of skilled employee candidates to build and sustain strong branch teams
  • Oversee and support the regional branch budgeting process.
  • Effectively complete assigned performance evaluations and support Market Managers in this process.
  • Support other region’s branches in the absence of their assigned Market Managers.
  • Provide accountability and support to Retail Lenders in loan risk management and problem loan resolution.
  • Works with Operations and other department leads to assess, create, and develop new bank efficiencies, products or procedures.
  • Respond effectively to escalated customer questions, suggestions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Ensure appropriate Bank representation at certain regional community events as well as ongoing leadership through civic and community organization involvement
  • Plan, organize, and deliver effective regional meetings and other training as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Management
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of progressive banking experience, including branch operations and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products and services and standard branch banking policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of branch compliance, including KYC and CIP compliance requirements.
  • Strong management and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide employee coaching.
  • Proven ability to communicate and motivate effectively through excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Jack Henry and ECS system knowledge preferred.
  • Bilingual required.
