DeFi Analyst - Risk Management & Market Safety

Location: Preference for NYC but can be USA or Europe based

Compensation: $120K - $150K

Reporting directly to the Lending Lead, we are looking for a talented DeFi Analyst to join our team and help shape the future of decentralized finance by delivering crucial insights and strategic recommendations to our customers.

  • The DeFi Analyst will leverage our simulation platform and quantitative methodologies to analyze complex datasets, model protocol risks, and provide actionable insights that directly impact market safety and capital efficiency.
  • Customer Insights: Deliver strategic insights and risk recommendations to our customers, utilizing our proprietary methodologies and custom simulation platform.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze complex on-chain and financial datasets, apply statistical techniques, and translate data into valuable, ongoing reports.
  • Data Visualization: Create and present clear, compelling data visualizations for both internal teams and external stakeholders (clients and the broader community).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional research and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, impactful outputs.
  • Innovation: Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of our platform and analytical methodologies.
  • Requirements
  • Web3 Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in the web3/crypto industry.
  • Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience in modeling or analyzing Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols and a desire to fully integrate into the ecosystem.
  • Data Proficiency: Excellent SQL knowledge for data querying and analysis.
  • Coding Skills: Proficient in Python coding for scripting, data manipulation, and analysis.
  • Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and lead various analytical projects to completion.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, for report writing and stakeholder presentations.
  • Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for DeFi and blockchain technology.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and/or DeFi projects.
  • Familiarity with profiling tools and performance optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or an equivalent technical field.

  • Salary Range: The reasonable annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation is determined by factors including skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
