<div><strong>Instructional Support Specialist (AZ/CA)</strong><br/><br/><strong>Department: </strong>Professional Development<br/><br/><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Full Time<br/><br/><strong>Location: </strong>Remote - USA<br/><br/><strong>Reporting To: </strong>Director of Professional Development<br/><br/><strong>Compensation: </strong>$80,000 - $100,000 / year<br/><br/><strong>Description</strong><br/><br/>The Instructional Support Specialist will provide onsite and online high-quality professional development for teachers and leaders who are implementing our Summit K12 Connect to Literacy solution. <br/><br/>The ideal candidate has a proven track record in teaching, coaching, leadership, curriculum knowledge, professional development delivery, and a deep understanding of instructional strategies and pedagogy to support English learners. The goal is to empower teachers and school leaders to effectively implement evidence-based practices aligned to our solutions, thereby nurturing an environment conducive to student success.<br/><br/><strong>TERRITORY:</strong> Arizona/California. Candidates must live in the state of Arizona or California and must be willing to travel across these states. <br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br/><br/><strong>1.Professional Development Delivery: </strong><br/><ul><li>Plan, organize, conduct, and facilitate online and on-site professional development learning on Summit K12 solutions.</li></ul><br/><strong>2. Implementation Success</strong><br/><ul><li>Ensure Successful Implementations: Empower teachers and school leaders to effectively implement evidence-based practices aligned to our solution, thereby nurturing an environment conducive to student success.</li></ul><br/><strong>3. Expertise in Solutions: </strong><br/><ul><li>Become an expert in our company's online English Language Development solution (Connect to Literacy).</li></ul><br/><strong>4. Data Utilization</strong><br/><ul><li>Leverage data dashboards to analyze and present key metrics that demonstrate the impact of the company's educational solutions on student outcomes.</li><li>Train leaders on how to effectively use data dashboards to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.</li><li>Continuously monitor and interpret dashboard data to provide actionable insights to both internal teams and district partners.</li></ul><br/><strong>5. Organization and Flexibility: </strong><br/><ul><li>Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to pivot easily in a high-demanding environment.</li></ul><br/><strong>6. Expertise and Learning</strong><br/><ul><li>Commit to Continuous Learning: Commit to life-long learning and professional development, including staying up-to-date on evidence-based practices.</li></ul><br/><strong>7. Support and Coaching: </strong><br/><ul><li>Facilitate LMS navigational support, demonstration lessons, individual coaching sessions, and leadership sessions (planning and support).</li></ul><br/><strong>8. Adapt and Improve: </strong><br/><ul><li>Proactively seek out feedback and adapt practices based on feedback and what leads to improved student outcomes.</li></ul><br/><strong>9. Collaboration</strong><br/><ul><li>Collaborate for Excellence: Collaborate with other team members, both within the PD team and across departments, to ensure that materials, methods, and professional learning meet the highest standards to achieve optimal results.</li></ul><br/><strong>10. Promote Classroom Equity: </strong><br/><ul><li>Ensure classroom equity through tailored professional development sessions for teachers, coaches, and leaders.</li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</strong><br/><br/><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br/><ol><li>Passionate about multilingualism and deep understanding of English Language Learners.</li><li>Demonstrate a robust understanding of best practices in supporting multilingual learners.</li><li>5+ years teaching experience leading sustained coaching sessions and professional development for educators in K-12.</li><li>Able to analyze data and use it to inform practice, and get results.</li><li>Proficiency in providing support to educators through both online and in-person learning platforms.</li><li>Demonstrate effectiveness in time management amidst competing priorities.</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology-based productivity tools including Microsoft and Google Applications.</li><li>Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.</li><li><strong>Willingness to travel within designated areas.</strong><ol><li>Travel is required and considered an essential function of the job. Travel includes overnight stays at hotels and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation. Driving in small and large cities is required. All travel-related expenses for professional development delivery are initially paid in advance by the Instructional Support Specialist (eg, lodging, daily meals). Reimbursements for these expenses - including mileage if driving your own car and compensation for time traveling - will be processed 2-3 weeks following submission of the expense reimbursement requests.</li></ol></li></ol><br/><strong>ADVANCED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br/><ol><li>10+ years of K-12 teaching and leadership experience, leading to demonstrable results for students.</li><li>Master's or Advanced degree in education.</li><li>Collaborate with district and school leaders to develop and refine annual professional development plans.</li><li>Experience working on collaborative projects with leaders and teachers.</li><li>Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them when delivering learning experiences to adults.</li><li>High comfort with navigating ambiguity and responding confidently to in-the-moment challenges or concerns in order to meet customer needs.</li></ol><br/><br/><strong>Benefits</strong><br/><br/>At Summit K12, we are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices.
