Online Education Business Consultant | Thinkific, Kajabi & Membership Strategy

Online Course Platform Consultant & Migration Expert (Thinkific, Kajabi & Membership Strategy)

Overview

This project will begin as a paid strategic consultation. My initial implementation budget is approximately $1,000–2,000. As my business grows, I anticipate completing additional phases with the same freelancer over time. I am looking for someone who can help me prioritize what needs to be built now versus what can be added later.

I own a growing online continuing education (CEU) business serving licensed mental health professionals throughout the United States.

My current platform is Thinkific, but I have reached a point where I need an experienced consultant to help determine whether I should continue investing in Thinkific or migrate to another platform such as Kajabi, LearnWorlds, or another solution that better supports my long-term vision.

I am not looking for someone to simply build a website.

I am looking for someone who has experience building and scaling successful online education businesses and who can become a trusted long-term implementation partner.

This project will begin with a paid strategy consultation. If we are a good fit, I anticipate hiring the same person for a larger implementation project.

About My Business

I am a licensed clinical social worker, speaker, author, and continuing education provider specializing in mental health education for licensed clinicians.

My current business includes:

Online CEU courses

Live CEU webinars

Approximately 400 registered users

Existing Thinkific school

Existing website

Existing branding

Existing course content

Existing marketing copy

Existing videos

Most of my work is already created.

I am not looking for copywriting or content creation.

My Long-Term Vision

I am intentionally building an education company rather than simply selling online courses.

Within the next one to three years I plan to offer:

Monthly CEU membership

Growing library of recorded CEUs

One new CEU added every month

Premium membership tier

Monthly consultation/case discussion groups

Downloadable clinical resources

Email funnels

Landing pages

Professional newsletter

Speaking funnel

Upsells and bundles

Resource library

Possible AI-powered clinician resources in the future

I want a platform that will grow with this business rather than needing to migrate again in a few years.

Phase One – Strategy

The first phase of this project is consulting.

I am looking for an experienced professional who can evaluate my current business and recommend the best long-term platform.

This includes helping me answer questions such as:

Should I remain on Thinkific?

Should I migrate to Kajabi?

Are there better alternatives I should seriously consider?

Which platform would you choose if this were your business?

What are the pros and cons of each option?

What will best support my long-term membership model?

How would you structure the business if you were building it today?

What mistakes should I avoid before investing additional money?

I am looking for honest recommendations—not simply someone who only works on one platform.

Phase Two – Implementation

If we decide to work together after the consultation, the implementation phase may include:

Platform migration

Website redesign

Course migration

Membership setup

Sales pages

Landing pages

Email automation

Checkout optimization

Product organization

Future scalability

Best practices for customer experience

Recommendations for improving conversion rates

Current Platform Information

Current platform:

Thinkific

Approximately 400 registered users

Several on-demand CEU courses

Live CEU registrations

Existing payment processing

Existing website copy

Existing branding

Existing course videos

Important Information

One unique aspect of my business is that my continuing education certificates must be issued using University of Georgia-approved PDF certificates.

Because of this, I do not use the built-in certificate generators offered by most LMS platforms.

If you have ideas for streamlining this workflow while still using the required PDF, I would love to hear them.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for someone who has experience with:

Thinkific

Kajabi

LearnWorlds (preferred)

Membership businesses

Online education companies

Course migrations

Marketing funnels

Email automation

Landing pages

Online business strategy

Comfortable working with an LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health practice and educational business.

Experience with healthcare education, continuing education, coaching businesses, or professional education is a significant plus.

Please Include in Your Proposal

Please tell me:

1. Which platform you would recommend and why.

2. Why you think it is the best fit for my business.

3. Links to websites or course businesses you have built.

4. Your experience migrating Thinkific sites.

5. Your experience building memberships.

6. Your estimated timeline.

7. Your estimated implementation budget.

8. Whether you believe my project can realistically be completed before my Thinkific renewal on August 17.

9. What interests you most about this project, and why do you think you'd be a good long-term partner for my business?

10. Please answer this question in your proposal:

If this were your own education business, which platform would you build it on today, and why?

I value thoughtful recommendations more than platform loyalty.

This project is important to me, and I am looking for someone who enjoys thinking strategically—not just someone who can follow instructions. If we're a good fit, I hope this will become a long-term working relationship as my education business continues to grow.

My primary audience is licensed mental health professionals. My educational content focuses on LGBTQIA+ affirming care, transgender health, neurodiversity, chronic illness, and other specialized clinical topics. It is important to me that anyone I work with is comfortable supporting an inclusive practice and respects these communities.

Because my business serves transgender and LGBTQIA+ communities, it is essential that anyone I work with is comfortable supporting an LGBTQIA+-affirming practice. I value working with people who respect my clients, my students, and the mission of my business. If this does not align with your values or experience, this project is probably not the right fit.
