Procurement Contract Manager, Remote

<p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Job Summary:</strong><br>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to serve as a strategic liaison between our Procurement and Legal teams. As a key member of our team, you will drive the development, negotiations, and management of our Master Service Agreements that align with our strategic business objectives, to mitigate risk, establish favorable terms & conditions with key vendors, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in contract law, health payer regulations, procurement policies and regulations, and negotiations will be instrumental in fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.</p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong><br> </p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Lead Contract Review and Negotiations:</strong><br>Conduct thorough reviews of contracts, addenda, amendments, and other procurement documents to ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers, leveraging expertise in contract law and procurement regulations.<br>Provide expert guidance to Sourcing teams in drafting Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statements of Work (SOW), ordering documents, and other contracts requiring legal input or review, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and aligned with company objectives.<br>Facilitate initial negotiations between GuideWell and suppliers on contract Terms & Conditions, ensuring that company interests are protected and that agreements are fair and reasonable. Draft, edit, and negotiate master service agreements.</li><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong><br>Serve as the primary point of contact between Procurement and Legal teams, facilitating open communication and ensuring seamless collaboration to drive business outcomes. <br>Provide guidance to Sourcing teams on contracting strategy, contract development, and negotiation. </li><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Risk Mitigation, Compliance & Risk Management:</strong><br>Identify and mitigate potential legal or regulatory risks in procurement transactions, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Stay current on changes in procurement-related laws and regulatory environments, providing expert advice to internal stakeholders.<br>Synchronize with both Legal and GuideWell’s Government & Legislative Affairs to obtain legislation information that impacts procurement processes and work with the appropriate procurement team to operationalize.</li><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Training:</strong><br>Develop and deliver training programs for the procurement team on regulatory considerations, contract negotiations, and procurement policies.</li><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Dispute Resolution and Issue Management:</strong><br>Support resolution of contractual disputes with vendors, working closely with internal stakeholders, legal, and suppliers to ensure timely resolution.</li><li style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Key Performance Indicators:</strong><br>Monitor timeliness and quality of contract reviews and analysis, effectiveness of negotiation and optimization efforts, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.<br><br> </li></ul><p style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;"> </p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;"><strong>Required Experience:</strong><br>6+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Experience in procurement, contract management, or a legal-related role.
