[Remote] Business Analytics Consultant (Data)

The role involves working with clients across various sectors to develop data strategies, facilitate workshops, and promote data-driven decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining and measuring business value and ROI across data analytics engagements
  • Support data product development by contributing to product roadmaps, user stories, backlog management and adoption monitoring
  • Conduct discovery sessions and facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to establish KPIs, success metrics and data solutions
  • Contribute to data strategy by documenting as-is states, identifying improvement opportunities and recommending solutions that maximize business outcomes
  • Apply data storytelling and visualization techniques to present insights and influence stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable data strategies and deliverables
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and support the adoption of analytics products across client organizations
  • Contribute to business development activities including case studies, content creation and identifying new client opportunities

Skills

  • 5+ years of practical experience working in data-related roles including data analytics, business intelligence or data-driven project delivery
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analytics Consultant, Data Analytics Consultant or in a similar client-facing role
  • Proven experience in data product development including requirements gathering, user story definition, product roadmaps and adoption tracking
  • Strong proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or QlikView
  • Working knowledge of data management, data governance principles and data architecture concepts
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with business and IT stakeholders
  • Advanced data storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences including senior stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of at least one industry sector such as financial services, retail, life sciences or energy with a strong understanding of relevant metrics and business processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a product-thinking, process-driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven analytics or predictive modeling tools
  • Experience with customer journey analytics and CRM platforms
  • Financial expertise including standard metrics calculation and cash flow forecasting models
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector including field development, production efficiency and profitability analysis
  • Familiarity with data maturity assessment and data strategy frameworks
  • People management or team lead experience
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics, BI or project management
