About the role
Globant is seeking a dynamic, hands-on AI Architect to join our growing team in Miami. This role is ideal for a technical leader who is passionate about designing and delivering cutting-edge AI solutions, while also engaging directly with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable, scalable architectures. You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, from discovery and estimation to implementation and deployment, leveraging the latest advancements in AI/ML models and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture:
    • Design robust,scalable AI/ML architectures tailored to client requirements, leveraging the latest in LLMs, generative AI, computer vision, NLP, and MLOps best practices.
    • Select appropriate models, frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for each use case.
  • Hands-On Implementation:
    • Lead by example in coding, prototyping, and deploying AI models and pipelines.
    • Oversee data engineering, model training, evaluation, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Consultative Engagement:
    • Work closely with clients to understand business challenges, conduct workshops, and translate needs into technical solutions.
    • Advise clients on AI strategy, roadmap, and best practices for adoption and scaling.
  • Project Estimation & Planning:
    • Scope and estimate AI projects, including resource planning, timeline, and cost.
    • Develop delivery plans and manage execution to ensure on-time, on-budget results.
  • Delivery Leadership:
    • Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI projects, ensuring quality, performance, and client satisfaction.
    • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, analysts).
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay up to date with the latest AI research, models (e.g., GPT-4, Gemini, open-source LLMs), and industry trends.
    • Evaluate and pilot new tools, libraries, and platforms for potential adoption.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in AI/ML solution architecture.
  • Proven hands-on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, NLP, computer vision, and MLOps.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (and optionally Java, Scala, or R).
  • Experience with cloud AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI).
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, estimate, and deliver complex AI projects.
  • Excellent consultative and communication skills; able to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
