The Senior Engineer, Supply Chain Systems supports Hill’s North America Supply Chain team by identifying, developing, implementing and sustaining supply chain systems and processes. This position works closely with the Hill’s business team and GIT to align strategies and priorities, and with internal and external partners including customers, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure seamless integration between functions and platforms.

The SE will partner with business and IT leaders to implement system projects under the IT Grid and other system initiatives, provide end-user support to ensure efficient business execution, enhance end-users’ system knowledge, develop Subject Matter Experts, and improve system utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Drive the end-to-end execution of the Supply Chain Digital Roadmap by leading large-scale system implementations (including SAP S/4HANA upgrades) and ensuring all initiatives align with global standards and business objectives.

  • Process Optimization & Innovation: Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and formal process reviews to identify system gaps, streamline customer EDI integrations, and implement scalable technical solutions that eliminate manual effort and maximize system utilization.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Governance: Act as the primary liaison between the business and Global IT (GIT) to build compelling business cases for new technology, communicate critical project updates to stakeholders, and escalate risks to ensure timely delivery.

  • Operational Excellence & Issue Resolution: Manage the stability of the supply chain technology landscape by overseeing SLA-driven support, conducting root-cause analysis on recurring system issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent business disruption.

  • Organizational Capability Building: Foster a high-performance culture by establishing and training a network of Power Users, participating in global communities of practice, and sharing best practices to advance digital literacy across the North America Hill's Supply Chain.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related technical field

  • 8+ years experience in Supply Chain operations or systems integration roles

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Project Management and Change Management, with a proven track record of navigating complex system transitions and driving user adoption

  • Expert-level command of SAP S/4HANA or equivalent ERP systems and integrated satellite systems (e.g., Kinaxis, TM9, EDI), 

  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in modern data stacks—including Snowflake, Sigma, Domo, or Python

  • Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following; Order-to-Invoice, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $124,000.00 - $155,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
