<p>The Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the firm's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and overall financial health. Local candidates please.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a track record of managing complex financial operations within a professional services or similarly sophisticated business environment. Experience with trust/IOLTA accounting, settlement disbursements, case cost tracking, and financial controls is highly valued. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the firm's continued growth while ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.</li><li>Deliver financial analysis, KPIs, and strategic insights to support executive decision-making.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, trust accounting, and internal controls.</li><li>Lead and develop the accounting team while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.</li><li>Partner with firm leadership and external advisors to support growth, profitability, and financial strategy.</li><li>Maintain compliance with government agencies</li><li>Act as the point of contact for external auditors</li><li>Maintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactions</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Active CPA license required.</strong></li><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership experience within a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager capacity.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.</li><li>Experience leading and developing accounting teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.</li><li><strong>Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite</strong>, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms a huge plus.</li><li>Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills, with the ability to develop meaningful reports, dashboards, and business insights.</li><li>Experience within a professional services environment, including trust/IOLTA accounting, settlement accounting, or case-cost accounting, is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle highly confidential information.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish and experience supporting a multi-office organization are a plus.</li></ul><p></p>
