<p><strong>Job Description: Electrical Engineer</strong><p>team members and cross-functional partners to execute lab tests, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve testing processes, methods, and systems.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support day-to-day high voltage laboratory testing activities and ongoing engineering projects.</li><li>Assist in the design, testing, and validation of electrical circuits and systems.</li><li>Conduct electrical and high voltage testing, collect data, analyze results, and document findings in a clear and organized manner.</li><li>Help develop, refine, and maintain laboratory procedures, test methods, and technical documentation.</li><li>Troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing issues with electrical systems, circuits, fuses, isolators, protection circuits, and test setups.</li><li>Support lab maintenance activities, including calibration and upkeep of oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing testing methods, lab efficiency, and system reliability.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing to support testing needs and resolve technical issues.</li><li>Maintain strong attention to detail in all testing activities, documentation, and technical reporting.</li><li>Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and recommend design or process improvements.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on circuit design and data acquisition.</li><li>Hands-on experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in a high voltage lab.</li><li>Strong practical skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electrical lab equipment.</li><li>Experience in circuit design, electrical testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and circuits.</li><li>Experience in either power electronics or programming, with the ability to apply this knowledge to lab testing and system validation.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for interpreting test data and resolving technical issues.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.</li><li>High attention to detail and the ability to lead technical efforts within lab projects.</li><li>Familiarity with test procedures, protection circuits, fuses, isolators, and high voltage electrical concepts.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working specifically in high voltage testing environments.</li><li>Experience in both power electronics and programming, with the ability to integrate these disciplines in test and validation work.</li><li>Experience improving laboratory systems, processes, or automation to increase efficiency and reliability.</li><li>Experience developing or optimizing test procedures and documentation for electrical and high voltage testing.</li><li>Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams in a lab setting.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to contribute ideas for continuous improvement in testing methods and lab operations.</li></ul><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Heights, IL.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $45.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
