This role will manage all aspects of the grants processes in support of NHC programs and initiatives. In addition, this role will collaborate with leaders of departments throughout the organization to required data and details for grant applications.</p> <p><em><strong>This position is full-time and primarily remote, but candidates must be located in California. This position will focus on grant writing to support our Inland Empire region. </strong></em></p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Researches, identifies, qualifies, cultivates, and solicits foundation, non-profit, corporate, private, and government funders at a local, state, and national level</li> <li>Generates proposals and supporting documents in response to request for proposals (RFP) and other grant solicitation opportunities</li> <li>Writes, prepares, and submits reports and other donor communications</li> <li>Incorporates accurate and pertinent information in grant proposals and applications</li> <li>Builds and maintains inter-departmental relationships, including finance and all program areas</li> <li>Works with operations and clinical staff to identify, develop, and package programs that are appropriate for grant funding</li> <li>Maintains contact with grant-making organizations during their review of a submitted grant application to be able to supply additional supportive material</li> <li>Researches, compiles, organizes, and presents various data for a variety of purposes, including grant proposals and business developments</li> <li>Analyzes and gathers community data from external resources and internal patient population reports</li> <li>Maintains systems to track grant writing activities, funder requests, and disposition of grants</li> <li>Coaches and supports program managers across the health center to successfully implement grant funded programs, including progress report writing, reminders, and communicating with funders, as needed</li> <li>Analyzes situations and make timely and effective decisions</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications</strong><strong></strong></span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong></p> <p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field required; master's degree preferred</li> <li>Three years of grant writing experience required; five years of experience preferred</li> <li>Experience with grant writing in healthcare organizations supporting medically underserved populations preferred</li> <li>Experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with foundation and corporate partners highly preferred </li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills</li> <li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form</li> <li>Proficient knowledge and understanding of the grant writing process</li> <li>Knowledgeable about and experience with organizational structure, functions, and needs</li> <li>Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously within their deadlines</li> <li>Excellent planning, time management, project management and organizational ability</li> <li>Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Applications with ability to develop spreadsheets, diagrams, graphs, presentations, and flow charts</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently</li> <li>Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner</li> </ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs/weight</li> <li>Ability to stand for long periods of time</li> </ul> <p><em>Neighborhood Healthcare offers a generous benefit plan that includes:  Partially company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.</p>
